Website management that means you never think about your website.
A WordPress site is not a finished object. Plugins need updating, backups need checking, security holes need patching, and the contact form breaks quietly at the worst possible moment. Most business owners find out something was wrong only when a customer tells them, or when Google does. This is the least glamorous work in web, and it's the work I've been doing for more than five years, across the sites in my portfolio.
My website management plans exist so you never have to think about any of it. Updates tested and applied, off-site backups verified, uptime and security monitored, a set number of content edits included each month, and one plain-English summary telling you exactly what was done. No jargon, no panic, no surprise invoices. In person across London. Anywhere in the UK on request. Remote worldwide.
What's covered every month
Updates, tested first
WordPress core, themes and plugins, updated on a schedule, tested so an update never takes your site down. The number one cause of hacked WordPress sites is outdated software; this closes that door.
Backups you can restore
Weekly off-site backups, and, the part most providers skip, periodically test-restored. A backup you've never restored is a hope, not a backup.
Security & uptime monitoring
Malware scanning, firewall rules, login protection, and uptime checks every few minutes. If your site goes down at 2am, I usually know before you do.
Content edits, counted not clocked
New opening hours, a price change, a new team photo, this week's menu. Every plan includes a set number of edits per month, from 4 on Essential up to 20 on Care Plus. You know exactly what you have, with no stopwatch running.
Forms & basics checked
Contact forms test-submitted monthly, broken links caught, and site speed watched. Because a form that silently stopped sending is lost business you'll never see in any report.
Plain-English summary
One email a month: what was updated, what was fixed, anything worth knowing. Thirty seconds to read, and you always know your site is being looked after.
Three plans, no lock-in
No contracts. Cancel any time. If your site is a mess when we start, I'll quote a one-off tidy-up first so the plan begins from a clean baseline.
Edits are counted, not clocked
Allowances are stated as a number of edits per month rather than hours, so you are never arguing about whether a price change took twelve minutes or twenty. Management keeps the site healthy. SEO is a separate service and is not bundled into any of these plans.
For small sites that just need to stay alive and healthy.
Sites that need actual hands on work each month. Most clients sit here.
When the site needs managing properly, not just kept alive.
Website care, asked honestly
Why do I need website management if my site works fine?
Because 'works fine' is a snapshot, not a state. WordPress releases security patches constantly, plugins fall out of date within weeks, and most hacks target known holes in outdated software. Management is insurance that costs less per month than an hour of emergency fixing costs when something breaks.
My hosting company says they handle this. Do they?
Usually they handle the server, not your site. Managed hosting rarely tests plugin updates against your specific setup, checks that your contact form still sends, or makes your content edits. Worth checking exactly what your plan includes, I'm happy to read it with you and tell you honestly if you're already covered.
What counts as one content edit?
One discrete change: a block of text, a price update, swapping an image, adding a testimonial, a new FAQ entry. Essential includes 4 a month, Care 10, Care Plus 20. Anything larger, a new page or a section rebuilt from scratch, gets a quick fixed quote first, and Care Plus includes one new page or rebuild each quarter.
What happens if my site gets hacked while on a plan?
I clean it, restore from backup if needed, close the hole it came through, and tell you plainly what happened, at no extra charge on any of the three plans. In five-plus years of doing this work, prevention has meant that's been a rare email to send.
Can you manage a site you didn't build?
Yes, most of the sites I manage were built by someone else. I start with a health check, fix anything urgent as a one-off quoted job if needed, and the plan runs from there.
Does management include SEO?
No, and that is deliberate. Management keeps the technical foundation healthy, speed, uptime, Core Web Vitals, working forms and no broken links, which SEO depends on. Active SEO work, meaning keywords, content and Google Business Profile, is a separate service from £395 a month. Bundling a little SEO into a care plan is how both end up done badly.
